4-Day Work Week

Camlas is first public affairs company in Wales to introduce a 4-Day Week

May 2023

From May 2023, Camlas has been implementing a 4-day work week for our employees whilst maintaining the same 5 day service to our clients.. This shift represents a bold move for the company as we seek to prioritise the health and wellbeing of our staff whilst maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality work to all our clients. The decision to adopt the 4-day work week is in line with our ongoing efforts to create a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes work-life balance and allows our staff to thrive both professionally and personally. Camlas is committed to promoting employee wellbeing and we already offer a range of employee benefits, including flexible working arrangements, mental health support, and ongoing training and development opportunities and the move to a 4-day work week aligns perfectly with this aim.

“We recognise that our staff are our most valuable asset, and we believe that by introducing a 4-day work week, we can create a healthier and more sustainable work environment for them,” said Naomi Williams, Managing Partner of Camlas. “This decision will not only benefit our employees but also our clients, as our team will be more focused, refreshed, and productive.”

Mark Hooper from 4 Day Week Cymru, recently organised a petition calling for Welsh Government to trial a 4 Day Week in the devolved Welsh public sector. He added: “This is fantastic news and shows a real commitment to the well-being of colleagues across Camlas’ business. Leadership in sectors such as public affairs is key in order to change our collective attitude to work.”
