Values

At Camlas, we take our corporate social responsibility seriously. We want to be part of our community and believe in acting today to make Wales a better place for future generations.

Camlas are proud to be part of the interfaith Croeso Butetown project to welcome, home and support a refugee family through the Home Office’s Community Sponsorship Scheme.

Once a quarter, the Camlas team assist in serving refreshments to the homeless in Cardiff City Centre and signposting to practical support when necessary.

Camlas is proud to support the Women’s Equality Network Wales, Stonewall Cymru, Disability Wales and Ethnic Minorities & Youth Support Team Wales’ Equal Power Equal Voice programme, a mentoring scheme aimed at increasing the diversity of representation in public and political life in Wales.

Camlas is a proud signatory to the Good Business Charter which recognises responsible business behaviour across 10 components, including real Living Wage, fairer hours and contracts, employee well-being, diversity and inclusion, environmental responsibility and ethical sourcing. Read more here.

Camlas promotes a hybrid working model and staff can work from home or in our Cardiff Bay office. This not only ensures a more effective model of working but supports staff members with caring responsibilities.

Camlas is always interested to hear from individuals who would like to undertake a work experience placement with us. We work with local schools, colleges and universities and always pay the living wage to all.

Camlas believes in giving back to our local community and therefore encourages all staff members to take two hours of their working week to undertake volunteering work. This has allowed staff members to become school governors and participate in local litter picking initiatives.

Camlas encourages all team members to walk, cycle or use public transport to access our office in Cardiff Bay and supports staff to purchase bikes and safety equipment via Cyclescheme.
